Strategic Goal

Ultimate proxy for efficiency and operational excellence in high-performance computing

We deliver computing power built on an industry-leading low operational expenditure (OpEx) of approximately $0.05 CAD/kWh. Our technical objective is achieving the "lowest J/TH (Joules per Terahash)", which serves as the ultimate proxy for efficiency and operational excellence in high-performance computing. The infrastructure is framed as a modular, scalable edge data center offering High-Performance Computing (HPC) capacity.

Engineering for Reliability: Cold Climate Uptime

Active Thermal Management

Our HPC modules are purpose-built for thermal resilience in the Alberta climate, employing Active Thermal Management.

We utilize Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) on the exhaust fans to provide precise airflow control, preventing the container from overcooling the ASICs.

Braiins OS Pre-heat

Advanced ASIC firmware (Braiins OS) is used, featuring Pre-heat Functionality to eliminate thermal shock and hardware damage during cold starts (below 0°C).

This ensures reliable operation even in extreme cold conditions, protecting valuable hardware investments.

Integrated Monitoring

High uptime is demonstrated through integrated remote monitoring (e.g., Braiins Manager/Grafana) to track hashrate, temperatures, and issues across the fleet 24/7.

Proactive maintenance and real-time alerts ensure maximum operational efficiency and minimal downtime.

Institutional Security: Defense-in-Depth Architecture

Network Segmentation

All client and corporate assets are protected by a multi-layered "Defense-in-Depth" (DiD) security architecture.

The network utilizes segmentation by dividing traffic into distinct, firewalled zones:

  • • Mining Operations Network
  • • Corporate IT Network
  • • High-Security Treasury Network

Secure Remote Access

Secure Remote Access is mandated over a secure, encrypted Virtual Private Network (VPN), with solutions like Tailscale offering reliable access without requiring port forwarding.

This ensures that all remote connections are encrypted and authenticated, protecting against unauthorized access.

Physical Security

Physical security includes comprehensive protection measures:

  • • Fencing and perimeter security
  • • Lighting and surveillance cameras
  • • Multi-factor Physical Access Control System (PACS)
  • • Controlled access to sensitive site areas
