Our Mission
Indigenous Leadership & Environmental Stewardship
I. Indigenous Leadership (Our Story)
51% Indigenous-Owned Status
Denendeh Digital is an Indigenous-led company, 51% Indigenous-owned and -led, representing a new standard for economic reconciliation in action.
This structure is a direct implementation of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's (TRC) Call to Action 92, ensuring that Indigenous communities gain long-term sustainable benefits from economic development projects.
The Name: Denendeh Digital
Denendeh is the Dene name for their traditional homeland, meaning "The Land of the People".
The name signifies honoring "The Land of the People" by transforming an environmental liability from that land into a sustainable digital future for the people.
TRC Alignment
Our 51% Indigenous ownership structure directly implements the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Call to Action 92, which mandates that Indigenous communities gain long-term sustainable benefits from economic development projects. We honor this commitment by creating meaningful economic opportunities for Indigenous partners while transforming environmental challenges into sustainable digital infrastructure.
II. Environmental Stewardship (ESG)
AER Directive 060 Compliance
Our Digital Flare Mitigation (DFM) solution provides regulatory credibility by meeting the mandates of AER Directive 060.
The solution aligns with the directive's framework, which requires that conservation is the "best alternative" to flaring.
Methane Abatement
Our core value proposition transforms an environmental liability into an economic asset. Utilizing stranded gas for power is environmentally superior because capturing and combusting methane significantly reduces emissions.
Methane is a high-potency greenhouse gas, being 25 times more potent than CO2 over 100 years. High-efficiency natural gas generators achieve combustion efficiency exceeding 99%, a significant improvement over open flaring.
Carbon Credit Monetization
Methane abatement creates a quantifiable, secondary revenue stream through carbon offset credits generated via the Alberta TIER system (Technology Innovation and Emissions Reduction Regulation).
This verifiable reduction in GHG emissions provides a powerful and credible narrative for ESG reporting while creating additional economic value.
